How did you get into boxing and how did you find yourself at 3rd Street?

“I was hit by a car six years ago, which caused permanent damage to my left ankle. My friend suggested boxing as a way to get cardio using mainly my upper body, then I became addicted. I'm able to modify the workout and still come out in a swimming pool of sweat. I found 3rd Street through Classpass.”

What's the best part about boxing? Why do you train?

“Boxing is a great work out and stress reliever. I feel calmer after a boxing class than a yoga class.”

How did you get into boxing and how did you find yourself at 3rd Street?

“I have always enjoyed watching boxing matches. However I hadn't boxed before going to 3rd Street Boxing Gym. A few people that I met recommended the gym. It has been a year now and I am so glad that I have made the jump.”

What's the best part about boxing? Why do you train?

“The best part is sharing the moment with people who are passionate to teach and learn with you. Paul and all the other instructors have taught me how to be aware of my body, and it gets addicting to push yourself when you notice you have broken the limits in your mind.”

How did you get into boxing and how did you find yourself at 3rd Street?

“The Bootcamps, in 2003!! They were hard core, inspiring, tons of boxing technique. We pushed our bodies and minds to the limit!!

What's the best part about boxing? Why do you train?

“The whole body workout combined with technique equates to somewhat of a holistic experience. You can’t really ‘zone out’ - it’s intense and you need to be present mind & body! Not to mention the fabulous community that comes along with 3rd street ;)”
